We custom make all of our hand hewn beams from freshly-cut wood. The hand hewn chopped marks are made with the original tools, an adze and a broad axe. Then we stain these beams any colour you choose to match your décor.
Hand hewn timber size and species:
Any timber size 3-4″ thick up to 12″ wide or any beam size 6×6 up to 12×12. Any length up to 24′ long.
Typically we make beams and timbers from Douglas fir for best strength but we can custom make them from any species of wood available.
